CANDIDATE NOMINATION INFORMATION
           
Nominations for the Township of Perth East 2010 Municipal & School Board Election may be filed beginning January 4, 2010 for the following offices:

MAYOR	One to be elected at large
DEPUTY MAYOR	One to be elected at large
COUNCILLOR, Ellice Ward	One to be elected
COUNCILLOR, Milverton Ward	One to be elected
COUNCILLOR, Mornington Ward	One to be elected
COUNCILLOR, North Easthope Ward	One to be elected
COUNCILLOR, South Easthope Ward	One to be elected

The term of office is from December 1, 2010 to November 30, 2014.

Nomination papers may be filed Monday - Friday between 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. until September 9, 2010.

On Nomination Day - September 10, 2010, Nomination papers may only be filed from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.

If you are interested in filing papers for a School Board Trustee (with the exception of the Avon Maitland District School Board) please contact the applicable school board to confirm nomination procedures. Contact information is available from the Clerk’s Office.

Note:
No person who proposes to be a candidate may solicit or accept contributions for election purposes or incur campaign expenses until he or she has filed a Nomination Paper.
